Simplest way is to put equal parts sugar & water in a bottle & shake till the sugar dissolves

 

This gives you a nice thin syrup that you can use with crushed fruit of your choice instead of sugar if the recipe calls for it

 

 Try crushing your favourite fruit & adding to the syrup to infuse add a little Vodka if keeping for extended periods
